Sony has released pre-orders for two limited-edition Grand Theft Auto 6 DualSense wireless controllers. Both models are priced at $84.99 and will launch on November 19, 2026, the same day as the game.
The controllers were revealed during the September 3 State of Play showcase. They come in two variants: a Black Limited Edition and a White Limited Edition.
Design Details and Pricing
Both controllers feature a shimmering, color-shifting finish meant to evoke Vice City’s sunset and neon aesthetic. The design includes palm tree graphics on the sides and the Grand Theft Auto VI logo on the touchpad.
Sony is positioning the black controller around Vice City’s nightlife, while the white model leans into the city’s daytime look. Isabelle Tomatis, Sony’s Vice President of Global Marketing, said: ‘Vice City’s unmistakable style comes to life in these two new limited-edition DualSense wireless controller designs.’
Prices are set at $84.99 in the US, €84.99 in Europe, and £74.99 in the UK. In Japan, the controllers cost ¥12,480 including tax.
Availability and Exclusivity
The Black Limited Edition is exclusive to PlayStation Direct in the US, UK, and most of Europe. It is not available at third-party retailers.
The White Limited Edition is available through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers. In the US, these include Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and GameStop.
In the UK, retailers Very, Currys, Argos, and Smyths Toys have listed the white version. Amazon UK has also listed the controller but has not yet started accepting pre-orders.
Pre-Order Demand and Stock Issues
Pre-orders opened on September 10 at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET in the US. The PlayStation Direct store experienced heavy traffic, with customers encountering long virtual queues that reportedly stretched beyond an hour at the start of the sale.
The White Limited Edition began selling out at several retailers within a day. Best Buy and GameStop were among the first to sell out or pause orders. Target’s page also showed the white controller as sold out.
Some retailers have since restocked. As of September 11, Walmart listed the white controller for $84.88, and Target had pre-orders available for $84.99.
The early rush has also led to heavily marked-up resale listings on secondary markets.
Current Status
As of September 12, 2026, the White Limited Edition remains available at select US retailers, though stock fluctuates. The Black Limited Edition is available only through PlayStation Direct in supported markets.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
