Virgin Media O2 has launched a pre-order deal for Grand Theft Auto VI that lets customers pay for the game at under 5 pence per day, the company announced on September 21, 2026.
The offer is available to both O2 and non-O2 customers in the United Kingdom. It requires a £20 upfront payment, followed by monthly payments of £1.39 over 36 months.
That works out to 4.6 pence per day. The deal carries 0% interest, so there is no extra charge for spreading the cost.
The mobile network said the plan is designed to help fans secure their copy without a large upfront expense.
In a statement, Virgin Media O2 said: ‘Whether players are counting down the days until they return to Vice City, planning launch-day gaming sessions with friends, or simply looking to be part of gaming’s biggest cultural moment, O2 is making it easier than ever to get launch-ready, without the large upfront expense.’
How the Payment Plan Works
Customers pay £20 at the time of pre-order. After that, they are charged £1.39 per month for three years.
The total cost comes to £70.04. That is roughly the standard retail price for a new AAA game in the UK.
The deal is a finance agreement provided by Telefonica UK Ltd. It is subject to status and credit checks. Applicants must be 18 or older and pay by Direct Debit.
Because the plan lasts 36 months, buyers will still be paying for the game years after its release. The game is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026.
Similar Offers Elsewhere
In July 2026, a Norwegian electronics store called Power launched a different promotion. It offered a free copy of GTA 6 to customers who switched to a Telia X mobile plan.
That deal required a 12-month contract at 399 Norwegian kroner per month, which is about $38 or £30. The total cost over the year was roughly $450.
By comparison, the O2 deal spreads the cost over a longer period but with a much lower monthly payment.
Grand Theft Auto VI is set to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The O2 pre-order offer is live now on the company’s website.
